It is so rewarding when youth tell me they feel understood and families report that our sessions are helpful. On a personal note, I am a military spouse and have two teenage daughters who allow me to reflect on my relationship skills daily

About me
Approaching 15 years of experience of working behind the scenes in a counselor role of K-12 schools. I have spent the past three years as a school-based therapist as part of an integrated healthcare organization and I collaborate with doctors, psychiatrists and school student services as requested by families or teens.
Before working as a school-based therapist, I worked as either a Military Family Life Counselor in schools near military bases or as the school counselor in various locations to include Germany, Colorado and in my home town in Western, NC now that my husband has retired from the military. I also have experience as an Army Civilian in Stuttgart, Germany teaching Parenting, Couples Communication and Anger Management Courses. I am currently learning the Circles of Security Parenting Curriculum and I look forward to sharing these best practices with parents very soon!
